ENDURE TRIALS WITH JOY

They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.

Hebrews 12:10 NIV

Think of how sometimes we keep junk foods away from our little children so they can feed on healthy foods. It might not sound good for them at that point, but it works for their own good at a later time. In the same way, sometimes God allows us to pass through trials so we can feed on the real food, the Word of God. This way, we build character, strength and stamina needed to withstand the storms of life.

When the Lord took the Israelites out of Egypt, He led them to the Red sea ,so they could have a taste of His goodness and be strengthened to face battles in life.

(Exodus 13). In the same way, whenever we face trials, let us not only seek solutions, but also see it as an opportunity for us to taste His goodness and be strengthened to endure the troubles of this world.

Beloved, we are new creatures, old things have passed away. God does not define us by the flesh, but by the spirit, we live our lives for Him and not for ourselves.

James 1:2-3 NIV says,”Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
