“So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as leaders.
Acts of the Apostles 20:28 NLT
Matthew 14:14 NLT says, “Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.” Matthew 15:32 NLT
also says, “ Then Jesus called his disciples and told them, “I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”
In another place, “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. “
(Matthew 9:36 NLT) These verses show that the Lord does not want His flock sick, faint, confused or helpless! Psalms 72:12-13 NLT says, “He will rescue the poor when they cry to him; he will help the oppressed, who have no one to defend them. He feels pity for the weak and the needy, and he will rescue them.”
This should be our mindset towards one another, God's Own flock. Be compassionate as Jesus is compassionate. Our resentment towards
one another, or even our worries and anxieties, is not necessary, for Jesus does not want His flock sick, faint, confused or helpless! We should be thinking the same way Jesus thinks for us. Philippians 2:5 NKJV says, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO FEED AND SHEPHERD GOD’S FLOCK IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
