FIND REST IN THE FATHER'S DIVINE CARE II

O Lord, I am your servant; yes, I am your servant, born into your household; you have freed me from my chains.

Psalms 116:16 NLT

Romans 8:15 NLT says, “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” We received God's Spirit as sons of God, hence are no longer under chains of slavery to the ruling spirits of this world,

but permanent members of His household.

I like how our theme verse says, “I am your servant, born into your household; you have freed me from my chains.” One cannot be a member of God's household and be in chains of slavery. The Lord says, “ A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” (John 8:35-36 NLT) Notice that we did not choose to be adopted, God is the one that chose to adopt us into His household. Hence we are under His care forever.

Isaiah 10:27 NIV says, “In that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.” Yes we have grown fat because of the anointing of the Spirit of Sonship, hence cannot be yoked into any slavery in this world. No sickness or economic conditions of this world can yoke us. Psalms 91:7 NIV says, “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
