He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.

Psalm 40:3 ESV

The preceding verse says, “He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.” (Psalm 40:2 ESV) Will you send your toddler to the grocery store without assistance? That we are cities on a mountain top suggests that our lights are already shining. That Jesus sent us to this fallen world means that we are more than conquerors. That God set our feet upon a rock, shows that our steps are secured.

We should not be afraid to sing our songs of praise for what He has done. For “ if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36 ESV) That is why Psalm 37:23-24 KJV says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighteth in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down: For the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”

Let us make it a habit of professing His good deeds, especially with joyful songs.

Psalms 107:2 NIV says, “ Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,” That is how we are transformed.

Psalm 105:43 ESV says, “So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing. And Isaiah 12:3 ESV tells us that “with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO GIVE GOD SONGS OF PRAISE IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
