Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that’s not what you’re after. Being religious, acting pious— that’s not what you’re asking for. You’ve opened my ears so I can listen.
Psalms 40:6 MSG
Just as our parents sent us on errands when we were little. In the same way, God's errands on earth are done by us. Psalm 115:16 GNT says, “Heaven belongs to the Lord alone, but he gave the earth to us humans.” We have to learn to listen to God. He created us for fellowship. That is why the Lord said we should seek the kingdom of God and its righteousness.
That means to be conscious of the kingdom we live in, and God’s own ways of doing things right . For instance, the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6, reveals God's righteousness, His mind for us on earth. It is the Father's joy that His will is done on earth as it is done in heaven. How? God's kingdom has come to stay on earth through our Lord Jesus Christ, and through us, it is extending to the end of the earth.
Let us be conscious of His voice, root out things in our lives that prevent us from hearing Him, worries, anxiety, fear etc. Most of our prayer requests do not reflect God's righteousness, For our relationship with God is not about what we can do , rather it is about responding to what He has done. That is why our theme says, “Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that’s not what you’re after. Being religious, acting pious— that’s not what you’re asking for. You’ve opened my ears so I can listen.”
WE BLESS YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR YOU HAVE GIVEN US EARS SO WE CAN LISTEN TO YOU, PRAISEWORTHY AND EXALTED IS YOUR NAME FOREVER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
