Words from the wise are like sharp goads. When these sayings are written down and saved, they can be used to guide people, just as a shepherd uses a sharp stick to make his sheep go the right way.
Ecclesiastes 12:11 ERV
If a lion is raised among the sheep, he will grow up acting like sheep, though he is a lion. The Bible says about Pharaoh, “He said to his people, “These Israelites are so numerous and strong that they are a threat to us.” (Exodus 1:9 GNT) Yet the Israelites saw themselves as slaves. If you want to live by your real identity, immerse yourself in the Word of God. “What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.” (Galatians 4:1 NIV)
When John the Baptist sent his disciples to ask Jesus if he is the Messiah, Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.”(Matthew 11:4-5 NIV) He defined Himself from what Isaiah said will happen when the Messiah comes, “ The blind will be able to see, and the deaf will hear. The lame will leap and dance, and those who cannot speak will shout for joy…” (Isaiah 35:5-6 GNT)
On one occasion, when the Jewish authorities wanted to find out John the Baptist's real identity, the Bible says, “John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’ ” (John 1:23 NIV) We are not of this world, hence nothing on earth defines us, reveals who we are, except the word of God. It doesn't matter how ignorant one might be, Psalm 119:130 GNT says, “The explanation of your teachings gives light and brings wisdom to the ignorant.”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO IMMERSE OURSELVES IN THE WORD DAILY IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
