IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE WORD AND NOTHING CAN KICK AGAINST YOU [VIII]

Words from the wise are like sharp goads. When these sayings are written down and saved, they can be used to guide people, just as a shepherd uses a sharp stick to make his sheep go the right way.

Ecclesiastes 12:11 ERV

OUR theme is legendary to me because the Lord revealed that to me in a dream when I asked Him for wealth years ago, that was how my walk with Him began. Deuteronomy 8:3 ESV says, “And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”

OUR comfort and hope in the trials of this world should not only be from what we have, but on the Word of God. That we have treasures in earthen vessels is for the excellences of our power to be from God and not from us.( 2 Corinthians 4:7)

God wants us to quench our hunger and thirst in life not only on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

For instance, Peter said about Jesus, “But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.” (Acts 2:24 NIV) The same Spirit that raised Jesus from death, also raised us from Death and has a permanent residence in us. So it is impossible for death , be it financial, marital, health crises etc to hold us down. Glory! This should be our comfort in all tribulations.

Psalms 119:162 NLT says, “I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure.”
