Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.

Matthew 6:20 NLT

Just as we all like our earthly investments, we should also make investing in our union with Christ a priority. We do this by spending time with Him in meditation, building treasures of the word of God in our hearts, an everlasting investment free from the prey of earthly moths and rust. Psalms 119:96 ERV says, “Everything has its limits, except your commands.”

Not only is our union with Christ an everlasting investment, we can also sustain our earthly investments through our union with Christ. For everything, both seen and unseen, including our earthly investments were made through Him and sustained by Him. Luke 6:45 ESV says, “ The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”

Take for instance if the world is going through a recession and businesses are closing. Instead of panicking, you withdraw from your treasures in Christ. That is, because you are in Christ, Psalms 91:7 NIV says, A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.”

Christ is like the city of Goshen, “But this time I will spare the region of Goshen, where my people live. No flies will be found there…”(Exodus 8:22 NLT)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO MAKE OUR UNION WITH CHRIST A PRIORITY IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
