Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.

Matthew 6:20 NLT

OUR Lord Jesus Christ, while on earth cherished His union with the Father. On one occasion He told Philip, “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. (John 14:10 NLT) In another place He said to the disciples, “But the time is coming— indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me.” (John 16:32 NLT)

God's will for us is our union with Christ and not with the world. This could be explained by His choice of cross for our salvation. For through the cross we are united with Christ in His death as well as in His glorious life, and we are crucified to the world and the world to us. Our greatness is in walking in this consciousness. That is, in how strong our relationship is with Christ and not of the world.

We should not make our haves or have-nots a priority over our relationship with Christ. All that God has is already ours. Instead of struggles over wealth, we should rest in His divine providence.

Instead of struggles over sin and addictions, we should rest in His gift of righteousness. Instead of worrying over sickness that refuses to go away, rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ, by His wounds we were healed” Luke 12:21 NLT says, “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO MAKE OUR UNION WITH CHRIST A PRIORITY IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
