OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

LEAN ON YOUR UNION WITH CHRIST

He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness,..He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness,... to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you.

‭Deuteronomy 8:15-16 NIV‬

Imagine that God led them through a fiery wilderness, where they could not live by themselves, and breastfed them when and where they could not feed themselves. He did this to teach them humility, so that in the end it might go well with them. Though we are children of God, we might experience lack in life, that does not make us less of God's beloved children, instead it is an opportunity for us to deny self and lean on our union with Christ, that is to learn humility, why? so that in the end it might go well with us.

Verse 3 of our theme says, “ He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” This is why we should not not lose sleep over trials, instead consider them as opportunities to grow in our relationship with God through Christ, so that in the end it might go well with us.

Even our Lord Jesus Christ, humbled himself and in the end it went well with Him. That is why the Bible says, “have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:... he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,” ( See philippians 2)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LEAN ON OUR UNION WITH CHRIST AND NOT ON OURSELVES IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
