OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

LEAN ON YOUR UNION WITH CHRIST II

He fed you with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to your ancestors. He did this to humble you and test you for your own good. He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.’

‭Deuteronomy 8:16-17 NLT‬

Ponder this, “He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.” The Lord sent us as sheep so that He can be our shepherd. He gave us His righteousness as a gift, so no man boasts in his works. ‭II Corinthians 4:7 NKJV‬ says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”

So our weaknesses in life is not a sign of defeat, rather it is for us to know that the excellence of the power is of God and not of us. So we will not say to ourselves, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” We should not think of ourselves as greater than another or that we achieved anything by our power. Instead we just learn how to look up to God, lean on our union with Christ.

So in this vast and dreadful world that we live, we should learn to rest in our union with Christ. For by this union, though “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.: (II Corinthians 4:8-9 NKJV‬)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LEAN ON OUR UNION WITH CHRIST AND NOT ON OURSELVES IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
