OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

LEAN ON YOUR UNION WITH CHRIST III

He made you go hungry, and then he gave you manna to eat, food that you and your ancestors had never eaten before. He did this to teach you that you must not depend on bread alone to sustain you, but on everything that the Lord says.

‭Deuteronomy 8:3 GNT‬

Just as the Israelites were hungry in a fiery wilderness and were fed with manna, a food unknown to them and their ancestors. In the same way, Christ in us, a mystery unknown to us and our ancestors, is our hope of glory in this fiery world today. “to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (‭Colossians 1:27 KJV‬)

‭Isaiah 49:10 GNT‬ says, “ they will never be hungry or thirsty. Sun and desert heat will not hurt them, for they will be led by one who loves them. He will lead them to springs of water.” OUR hunger and thirst for daily supply including joy, peace, etc, is for us to know that our supply is not from us but through our union with Christ. Hence, we don't worry about our lacks for we cannot sustain ourselves, only God does.

That is why He said , “I am the bread of life,..“Those who come to me will never be hungry; those who believe in me will never be thirsty.” Since Christ is the only one that satisfies our thirst and hunger, why don't we lean on our union with Him?‭

‭Psalms 103:5 says of Him, “who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LEAN ON OUR UNION WITH CHRIST AND NOT ON OURSELVES IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
