LEARN TO SURRENDER TO GOD

Just as I do not belong to the world, they do not belong to the world.

‭John 17:16 GNT‬

Some Christians still say that ever since they came to Christ things have become worse. Many brag about things they did while they were in the world. Some had said how I wish I was who I used to be those days. The truth is that, the moment we were in Christ things changed. We do not belong to the world. ‭II Corinthians 5:17-18 NKJV‬ says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God..”

This means that while we were in the world, we used to do things by our power, we walked by sight but now all things are of God who is Spirit and we do all things through Christ who is Spirit and the glory of our strength. We don't walk as the world does, and we walk by faith not by sight. We are now new creatures, we depend on God not on bread alone.

The Israelites in the desert had the similar experience and murmured against God.

Just as God brought them to the desert where they cannot do anything by themselves unless God does. In the same way, we cannot do anything by ourselves except through Christ. Let us learn to depend on God in all things.
