LIVE BY THE TRUTH

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

John 17:17 NIV

One of the things that set us apart from the enemy is the truth. Only the Holy Spirit can sanctify us with the true revelations about God and us. The enemy knows the word but not the truth for he doesn't have the capacity to access it.

The Lord said, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.” (Matthew 13:11 NKJV)

I Corinthians 2:7-8 NKJV says, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” Herod searched the scripture to kill Jesus, but couldn't because he did not receive the revelation about the flight to Egypt. In the same way, the enemy cannot outwit us when we are armed with the truth.

That is why the Lord said, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

(John 8:31-32 NKJV) For though we are born again, we still need to renew our minds with the word to be transformed.

We can only live a transformed life here on earth by the truth. God's words bring His life giving Spirit.
