OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

LIVE FOR CHRIST II

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Matthew 5:13 NIV

As salts, our lives on earth are not without a purpose. Consider the parable of the mustard seed; “It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows up, it is the biggest of all plants. It becomes a tree, so that birds come and make their nests in its branches.” ( Matthew 13:32 GNT) We are saved for work.

Psalms 104:16-17 ERV says, “The great cedar trees of Lebanon belong to the Lord. He planted them and gives them the water they need. That’s where the birds make their nests, and the storks live in the fir trees.” Just as God takes care of those great cedars He planted, and the birds have a place to make their nest. The same way we are God's oaks of righteousness. He has made us righteous so we can set things right on earth through our union with Him.

Suppose we choose not to live in union with Him hence not watered and fed by Him, cannot set things right in the world, John 15:6 GNT says, “Those who do not remain in me are thrown out like a branch and dry up; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, where they are burned.” For “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE FOR CHRIST IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
