Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Philippians 2:12-13 ESV

Spiritual vision is not something that one can build in a day, it takes time to build. It requires constant meditation on the word of God until it saturates the minds and spirit. The word of God is a seed, it takes time to grow deep into our hearts so as to bear fruit in hundredfolds. The enemy believes in the power of the word in our spirit. That is why he tries to steal it from us before it develops roots.

Remember what Herod did when He heard the news about Jesus. The Bible says, “When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.” (Matthew 2:3-4 ESV) He sought the scripture just to kill Jesus, the enemy does that to us when we lack understanding and the word is not rooted in our hearts. ( See Mathew 13)

Just as king Herod inquired about the scripture not for good but to do evil. The enemy also knows the scripture just to build his case against us. Remember he even tempted Jesus with the scripture

In Matthew 4:6 NLT he said to Jesus,

“If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’”

That is why children of God should meditate on the word so as to build their spiritual vision and not live on natural vision only.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE BY SPIRITUAL VISION AND NOT THE NATURAL VISION IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
