MAKE WAY FOR IMMANUEL

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the young woman who is unmarried and a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel

Isaiah 7:14 AMPC

We are like virgins who can only bear fruit through the power of the Holy Spirit. When Mary asked the angel how she could bear a child since she was a virgin, the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you” (Luke 1:35 ESV) Let us not define ourselves by external standards, rather by internal standards.

That is why in all circumstances, Psalm 46:10 ESV says “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

2 Corinthians 4:7-8 NLT says, “We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.”

The Israelites did not leave Egypt with any sword. Yet Psalms 114:1-3 NLT says about them, “When the Israelites escaped from Egypt when the family of Jacob left that foreign land the land of Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom. The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away.” Why? Because God was with them.
