OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

‭Colossians 2:6 NKJV‬

A chameleon effect is a phenomenon which makes us mimic other people's mannerisms. When the Lord said we should abide in Him, He wants us to mimic His thoughts and ways, and not our circumstances or feelings.

The Lord wants us to remain in Him as our permanent and only home, and mimic His thoughts and ways as our only way of life irrespective of our earthly circumstances. For instance, we are God's holy and righteous ones just as Jesus, we walk in holiness and righteousness irrespective of our feelings.

We are sufficient in Christ, we walk in sufficiency despite our weaknesses.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said to king Nebuchadnezzar who wanted to throw them into the furnace, “Your Majesty, we don't need to defend ourselves. The God we worship can save us from you and your flaming furnace. But even if he doesn't, we still won't worship your gods and the gold statue you have set up.”(‭‭Daniel 3:17-18 CEV‬‬) They stood firm in their confessions irrespective of their circumstances.

No wonder ‭‭Habakkuk 3:17-18 CEV‬‬ says, “Fig trees may no longer bloom, or vineyards produce grapes; olive trees may be fruitless, and harvest time a failure; sheep pens may be empty, and cattle stalls vacant— but I will still celebrate because the Lord God is my Savior.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO MIMIC THE LORD IN ALL THINGS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
