We are participants in this new life of Christ we are raised to, and not spectators. ‭2 Peter 1:4 NIV‬ says, “Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”

We participate in His new life by saying yes to the work He has done for us already. We have to continuously align our thoughts with His thoughts. We have the same Spirit of faith, so we boldly speak because He has spoken. We have the same Spirit of prosperity and good health, so we prosper in all things and in good health, because He has prospered in all things, we overcome because He has overcome.

Remember He is the Vine and we are the branches, the same life in the Vine is in the branches. Meditating on the word of God makes us effective participants in His life, for the word fills us with His life giving Spirit . That is why ‭1 Peter 2:2 NLT‬ says, “ Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment,”
