His family tree is here for good, his sovereignty as sure as the sun, Dependable as the phases of the moon, inescapable as weather.

Psalms 89:36-37 MSG

Think of how a lion moves about boldly in it's environment, with the confidence that nothing can overpower him. The same way, we should be reigning through Christ over all things with boldness for his sovereignty is as sure as the sun, Dependable as the phases of the moon, inescapable as weather. We have an everlasting dynasty, and should be bold in all circumstances knowing that we rule like the sun, nothing escapes our reign, everything serves us.

Psalms 124:7 NLT tells us that “ We escaped like a bird from a hunter’s trap. The trap is broken, and we are free!” Since the snare is broken and we have escaped and are free, we should be walking through the broken snares of our circumstances with boldness for “ if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. “ (John 8:36 NLT)

I love what the Psalmist said, “I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!”(Psalms 11:1 NLT) We reign through Jesus whose sovereignty as sure as the sun, Dependable as the phases of the moon, inescapable as weather. Why should we allow sickness, hardships etc to order us about. That is the joy of Christmas, the Father has given us His kingdom forever.
