OUR SPIRITUAL MODEL FOR A VICTORIOUS LIFE

Words from the wise are like sharp goads. When these sayings are written down and saved, they can be used to guide people, just as a shepherd uses a sharp stick to make his sheep go the right way.

Ecclesiastes 12:11 ERV

Just like companies follow a business model to stay profitable and grow even during tough economic times, the Word of God serves as our blueprint for living victoriously despite the brokenness of the world. John 1:4-5 ESV says, “In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Simply live by the word daily and you will not be subject to the fallenness of this fallen world. How? Is not for us to understand, for the word of God is Spirit and blows like a wind. John 3:8 ESV says, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Beloved, when we live by the Word of God, regardless of economic downturns or the darkness around us, we become like a bush engulfed in flames yet never consumed. Isaiah 60:2 ESV says,” For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.” Micah 7:8 ESV says,”Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.”
