REJOICE REJOICE AND REJOICE

Rejoice, rejoice, people of Zion! Shout for joy, you people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you!

-‭‭Zechariah ‬‭9:9‬ ‭GNT‬‬

Beloved, are we rejoicing in joyful hope of welcoming the Lord? Our theme tells us to rejoice twice and then shout for joy! Remember the message of the angels to the shepherds, “Don't be afraid! I am here with good news for you, which will bring great joy to all the people.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭GNT‬‬)

But why are we not rejoicing? Are we looking at our natural circumstances to define the joy of the Lord? The Lord is basking in joy to receive us to himself irrespective of our circumstances so that we will be where He is. The Bible tells us that He is not ashamed to identify with us as His siblings despite our weaknesses.

Just as the Lord wants us to rejoice in His coming irrespective of our circumstances, feelings or weaknesses, He is also rejoicing to receive us to himself irrespective of our weaknesses. ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says, “ For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO KEEP REJOICING IN RECEIVING THE LORD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
