REJOICE IN HIS PROMISES LXXIII

the Lord, whose promises I praise.

Psalm 56:10 GNT

The Lord said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”(‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Though we are in Him, we might still experience troubles in the world, but through His words we know that He has overcome those troubles. So, His words He spoke to us gives us peace in all circumstances, and gives us the power to stay cheerful and peaceful in Him!

In ‭‭John‬ ‭17:13‬ ‭CEV‬‬, the Lord said “I am on my way to you. But I say these things while I am still in the world, so my followers will have the same complete joy that I do.” The Lord is not of the world just as we are not of the world, and He has gone back to the Father, our Father, while we are here in this fallen world.

However, as a just God, He did not give us perishable possessions as our source of joy, but He gave us imperishable, His words so we can have the same joy in this world as He has in heaven. ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:111‬ ‭KJV‬‬ says, “Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: For they are the rejoicing of my heart.”

Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬, says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” The more word of God we have in our spirits, the greater the power of God that works in our lives.

TO THE LORD, WHOSE PROMISES I PRAISE, ALL GLORY, PRAISEWORTHY AND EXALTED IS YOUR NAME FOREVER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
