RELATE TO GOD BEYOND HUMAN IMAGINATION

Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.

Acts 17:29 ESV

Beloved, our new life as God's own children is purely by His Spirit. Hence is beyond our senses, what we taste, see or could imagine with our human minds. “Spirit gives birth to spirit” (John 3:6) Lion gives birth to lions not to sheep. We are like Him, in God's class. No one can see , feel or touch the Spirit of God, hence our new life cannot be rated by human senses or imagination. 1 John 3:2 tells us that what we will be has not yet been revealed, but when Jesus is revealed we shall be like Him.

Since Our true life is not yet revealed, it is unrealistic to rate our health, finances, and righteousness etc, by our human senses or imagination. Rather, our default mindset in all things should be on Jesus for we are like Him. Psalms 16:8, 10 NKJV says about it, “ I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.”

The apostles at the boat missed this for though Jesus was with them in the boat, yet they were scared that they might perish. “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” (Mark 4:38 NKJV) In Matthew 14, Peter walked on water by the Lord’s command, but began to sink when He walked by sight. Let us relate to God beyond human senses or human imagination. Proverbs 3:5 NKJV says, “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;”
