REMEMBER THE POWER THAT SAVED YOU

We are free from the hunter’s trap; their snare is broken and we have escaped!

Psalms 124:7 TPT

Indeed we have escaped, why ? The 8th verse of our theme says, “For the same God who made everything, our Creator and our mighty maker, he himself is our helper and defender!” If God saved us, who can outwit Him? If God is for us, who can be against us? No wonder Isaiah 62:12 GNT calls us, “The People the Lord Has Saved.” Whenever we face tribulations, it is good for us to remember the power that saved us.

Some Israelites in the desert did not receive their promised inheritance for they failed to acknowledge the power that saved them. ( Numbers 14) Moses said to the Israelites, “Do not tell yourselves that these peoples outnumber you and that you cannot drive them out. Do not be afraid of them; remember what the Lord your God did to the king of Egypt and to all his people.”(Deuteronomy 7:17-18 GNT) Make it a practice of remembering the power that saved us.

The Holy Communion is a good way of doing that. “ Do this in remembrance of me.”( 1 Corinthians 11:24 ESV) God has not forgotten the sufferings of His Son and is rewarding us for those. Psalms 56:8-9 NLT says about it, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ALWAYS REMEMBER THE POWER THAT SAVED US IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
