And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6 NIV
Recall this scene of the Centurion, “Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”(Matthew 8:7-9)
Jesus was pleased with his great faith. The Centurion, though his servant was paralyzed and suffering terribly, he chose to revere God over his servant's predicament. Many Christians in such situations, will prefer Jesus to come down again and heal the servant. Even if it involves being crucified again on the cross. God seeks for people who can worship him for who He really is, in the realm of spirit and truth and not by what we feel, see or taste ( John 4:23)
Think of the criminal at the cross, the Bible says, “But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” (Luke 23:40-42 NIV) Though the criminal was condemned justly, yet he was still asking Jesus to remember him in His holy kingdom. He showed reverence for God's merciful heart. Let us learn to revere God in all things.
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO REVERE GOD IN ALL THINGS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
