This is my comfort and consolation in my affliction: that Your word has revived me and given me life.
Psalm 119:50 AMPC
In all things, let us learn how to DRAW LIFE FROM HIS WORD. For example:
Psalm 40:1-3 AMPC says, “I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord.”
The Greek word used for wait is “ qavah” meaning “ to tarry”. It's root word means
“ to bind together” , twisting” . So whenever we go through trials of any kind, we focus on the Lord by drawing life from His words, by intertwining our thoughts with His thoughts. The more we align our thoughts with His thoughts, the more we are transformed into His image, be it financially, marital, health etc. that is, “ He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings”
The sweetest part is this: “and He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord.” Many will see the transformation in our lives and give God the glory. Psalm 96:2 tells us to proclaim His salvation daily, for He makes His salvation very pronounced. “that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1Peter 2:9 NIV)
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO PERSEVERE IN ALL THINGS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
