And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

1 John 5:5 NLT

A spiritually naked person does not have the word of God in the spirit as a defense, hence cannot stand the battle in this world. Just as a city without walls is vulnerable to attack, so also a spiritually naked person. Proverbs 25:28 NKJV says, “Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls.”

Our text tells us that there is battle in the world, even though Jesus has overcome for us but we have to do the work of believing in Him, that He has overcome. That demands spending time meditating on the word of God until it saturates the minds and spirit.

In Matthew 11:12 NKJV, the Lord said,

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

Believers need to be violent in believing so as to enjoy the victory Jesus purchased for us with His blood. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”(I John 5:4 NKJV)

Galatians 3: 27 tells us that by baptism we are spiritually clothed with Christ. But we need to live in this consciousness daily so as to live as victors. Faith is the victory that overcome the world. “ Romans 10:17 NKJV says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO SATURATE OUR SPIRITS WITH HIS WORDS DAILY IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
