STAND FIRM AS GOD’S CHOSEN

For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.

Deuteronomy 7:6 NIV

In our theme, just as God chose the Israelites to display His greatness, so also He chose us before the foundation of the world to display His greatness. 1 Peter 2:9 NIV says, “ But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

However, God's power is displayed in our weaknesses, in our surrendered lives. 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV says, “ But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” This means that we should consider it joy when we pass through challenges than live in worries and anxieties, for those opportunities call for us to display God's greatness.

That is why we are weak vessels containing God's power so that every trial we face reveals God's greatness.

Let us stand strong in trials knowing that we don't live for our purposes but God’s.

1 Peter 4:12-13 NIV says, “ Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE FIRM IN THE LORD AS HIS CHOSEN ONES TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
