How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah
-Psalms 4:2 NKJV
1 Corinthians 15:40 NLT says, "There are also bodies in the heavens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies."
All that God created has their own glory because they were created by God of glory. Adam and Eve when tempted, gave up their own glory for that of the tree. The Bible says, "Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom." (Genesis 3:6 HCSB)
Esau traded His glory of His birthright for a meal. Psalms 106:19-20 HCSB says about the Israelites, "At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped the cast metal image. They exchanged their glory for the image of a grass-eating ox." OUR Lord Jesus, though was very hungry after fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, never traded His glory for loaves of bread.
Beloved, during challenges, are we allowing our circumstances to define our image as poor or rich children of God, healthy or unhealthy children of God etc. Or are we looking at Jesus as our true image, the hope of our glory in all circumstances. Unlike earthly glory that fades, Christ's glory does not change, no matter the circumstances. In the same way, our glory is Christ glory, hence does not change. " I have given them the glory You have given Me." [John 17:22]
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE IN CHALLENGING TIMES, TO STAND STRONG IN THE GLORY OF CHRIST AND NOT ON THOSE OF THE WORLD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
