When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, he asked him, “Would you like to get well?” “I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.”
John 5:6-7 NLT
Psalms 46:1 NIV says,“ God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” During challenges in life we most times tend to rely on our own strength instead of surrendering to the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Psalms 127:1 TPT says, “ If God’s grace doesn’t help the builders, they will labor in vain to build a house. If God’s mercy doesn’t protect the city, all the sentries will circle it in vain.”
Notice that when Jesus asked the sick man in our theme verse , “Would you like to get well?”. His response was “I can’t, sir,” For he relied on His strength and his circumstances. That is why Isaiah 60 tells us that no matter the troubles we may encounter, that we should rise and shine for our light has come. We can obtain grace to rise and shine by spending time meditating on the word of God.
Through meditation on the word, we build the grace we need for transformation. So any area of our life, marital, health and wellbeing, finances etc, that is in distress because of sin, grace supersedes giving life through righteousness! Glory! Ezekiel 47:9 says, “ where the river flows everything will live.”
LET US STAND STRONG IN HIS GRACE IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
