STAND STRONG IN HIS GRACE

For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:9 NLT

Grace is the favor of God we don't deserve. In Ezekiel 36, The Lord spoke about the restoration of Israel. He said about how He will bring them back, cleanse, increase and multiply them . Verse 32 says, “But remember, says the Sovereign Lord, I am not doing this because you deserve it. O my people of Israel, you should be utterly ashamed of all you have done!( Ezekiel 36:32 NLT)

The Lord restoring them was not because of their deeds, rather, because of His promise to Abraham . In the same way , God's saving us is not because we did something good, rather it was His plan before the foundation of the world to show us His grace in Christ Jesus. As our theme says, “He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus”.

So, before we were born, even before we knew good or evil, God had already destined us for greatness through our union with Christ, a triumphant life.

glory! Never rely on your own strength, but grace does it all. Our duty is to receive it with faith. That is why St. Paul's letter to Timothy says, “ Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. “ (2 Timothy 2:1 NLT)
