‭‭For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

-1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Many still believe that God is angry at them or punishing them for some wrongdoing or even the sins of their forefathers. The truth is that God did not appoint us to suffer wrath as our opening verse says, rather He is rejoicing, celebrating us everyday! ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭CEV‬‬ says, “ The Lord your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with his love.”

Think of the joy we have in welcoming our new born baby, admiring their cooing and variegated babbles, the same way God admires our babbles and baby steps day in day out. He can never abandon His babbling and cooing babes. ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭49:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ says, “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.”

The only reason why people go through unnecessary problems is because they stay away from the Lord. The Bible says, “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”(‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬) Staying away from Him is walking in darkness where theirs is stumbling, slips, falls and all troubles.

How do we stay with the Lord? Through His words. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAY WITH THE LORD TILL HE COMES AGAIN IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
