THE WEAPON THAT WILL DESTROY US HAS NOT BEEN MADE

no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17 NIV

OUR theme is very deep and stunning, I like how Isaiah said at the end of the verse, “ declares the Lord.” In the preceding verse, God said , “See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc;” (Isaiah 54:16 NIV) He is telling us that just as He created the blacksmith who makes the weapon, in the same way He created us in a way that no weapon fashioned against us can ever prosper.

The Lord is saying that the weapon that can destroy us has not been made. It is like a company that makes guns and also makes a bullet proof vest that no bullets can penetrate. God created the universe and all the principalities and powers of darkness, and placed them in their realm of function. Colossians 1:16 NIV says, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”

The same Jesus Also redeemed us from their rules, and created us new in Him, is telling us that no weapon fashioned against us can ever prosper. John 16:33 NIV He said,“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” let us stand strong in this profound declaration of the Lord that no “weapon forged against you will prevail,”
