And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.
2 Chronicles 20:15 ESV
Someone always says, “ I am a dead man on a battlefield “. Yes, we are like dead people on a battlefield, not in defeat but as victors, for the battle is not ours, it is the Lord’s. That is grace! We are dead to the world and alive to God !. A life of grace is a life of living in the consciousness of our weaknesses, not as victims, but as victors, for God is our ever present help.
In our theme, Jehoshaphat and his army won battle by simply singing thanks to God. 2 Chronicles 20:22 ESV says, “And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.”
Thanksgiving is Eucharistia in Greek.
“Eu” stands for good/well, “ charis” meaning grace. Good grace, so it means giving God thanks for His grace upon us.
His Grace is sufficient in our weaknesses, our surrendered lives, making the power of Christ mighty. “The battle is not yours but God’s. Sacrifices of thanksgiving is a way of surrendering to God as Jehoshaphat did. Hence, we build grace needed to reign through all circumstances. (Romans 5:17)
Let us learn not to worry, rather always give thanks to God as a sacrifice.
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO OFFER THANKSGIVING TO GOD IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES IN JESUS NAME AMEN !
THANK YOU JESUS!
