TRUST GOD FOR YOUR CARE, FOR HE CARES

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

John 14:18 NIV

The prodigal son, from his experience struggling without the father, learned something the elder brother, who was always with the father, did not learn. He learned that the rich might suffer, but those who trust the Lord for their care lack no good things.Psalms 34:10 NIV says, “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” Psalm 91:9-10 ESV says,“Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place the Most High, who is my refuge no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent”

He wanted his own share away from the father. But when he lost it all, he changed his mindset to having the father take care of him the same way as the servants. The Bible says,“When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’(Luke 15:17, 19 NIV )

Beloved, we are not the breed that has our health and wellbeing, finances, marriages, righteousness away from Christ. We are united with Christ, a seamless union, let us trust in His care. 1 Peter 5:7 NIV says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” He did not leave us as orphans! Walk in Him.

Psalms 34:8 CEV says, “Discover for yourself that the Lord is kind. Come to him for protection, and you will be glad.”
