DO NOT DREAD THE LORD'S SECOND COMING

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him - ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We cannot wait and receive the Lord without faith. We see in many places in the Bible where the Lord was impressed by those displaying great faith. God loves it when His children live by faith rather than by sight. The good news is that He has given everyone the measure of faith. (Romans‬ ‭12:3‬)

St. Augustine said “ Let us not resist his first coming, so that we may not dread the second”. If we don't understand the first coming, it is difficult to wait in joyful hope for the second coming. For instance, ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says,”whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

That means we are proclaiming that we are dead now to sin and distress, hence blameless and without a single fault

now until He comes again! This is great! If we proclaim this with our heart everyday, how can we ever live in fear or dread his second coming ?

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAND FIRM AND NOT TO DREAD THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
