WAIT WITH EXPECTANCY

I waited and waited and waited some more, patiently, knowing God would come through for me. Then, at last, he bent down and listened to my cry.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭40:1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Think calmly what it means that you are waiting patiently for something that you know will happen, a guaranteed event, such as the winter, summer etc. Won't you wait patiently? The Hebrew word for “wait” here is “qavah”, its root word defines it as binding together, twisting, aligning our thoughts with His thoughts. It is not just waiting patiently but with ecstatic expectancy.

I love how the Psalmist says it here, “ I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord More than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.” (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭130:5‭-‬6‬ ‭KJV‬‬ )

So we wait for the Lord like those that watch for the morning, aligning our thoughts with His thoughts. “In His words do I hope” Waiting on him with joyful hope that He is our only power of excellence and our fullness, the same way we hope on our legs for walking,on our eyes for sight, or Nose for smell. ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says, “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO WAIT FOR THE LORD IN JOYFUL EXPECTATIONS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
