He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!

If you walk into a dark room you will not see the wrongs in the room, you might even be vulnerable to stumbles, slips and falls. When you switch on the light, you will see all the wrongs in the room and

avoid them. This is why we need Jesus, our light in this dark world.

The world these days mistakes wrong for right, they see committing sexual sin, being morally bad, doing all kinds of shameful things, witchcraft, hating people, jealousy, selfishness, as normal, because they are in the dark. Galatians 5 calls those fruit of the flesh. Imagine the high rate of joblessness, divorce, sickness etc in the world today that is considered normal.‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ says, “But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”

This is why we rejoice in Christ for We can only display God's goodness through our union with Him. We can only Illuminate the world that walks in darkness by abiding in Christ the true Vine so we can bear fruit such as: ‭‭ love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control ( Galatians 5)
