REJOICE IN HIS INHERITANCE

always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.

‭‭Colossians 1:12 NLT‬‬

We all like our children and even grandchildren to enjoy our inheritance, and get worried when none of our blood will inherit our vast possessions. Abraham even said to God, “O Sovereign Lord, what good are all your blessings when I don’t even have a son? .. You have given me no descendants of my own, so one of my servants will be my heir.” Then the Lord said to him, “No, your servant will not be your heir, for you will have a son of your own who will be your heir.” (‭‭Genesis 15:2-4 NLT‬‬)

Think about this: if we humans want our own children as heirs, how about our heavenly Father? That is why He said, “I myself will search and find my sheep. Yes, I will give them good pastureland on the high hills of Israel. There they will lie down in pleasant places and feed in the lush pastures of the hills. ‭‭(Ezekiel 34:11,14 NLT‬‬) Today, we are God's heirs, and joint heirs with Christ to His kingdom, power and glory! “And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory”(‭‭Romans 8:17 NLT‬‬)

No wonder He sent St. Paul “to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Just as St. Paul, we are also commissioned to bring more souls into His inheritance.
