BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SET YOUR EYES ON

The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is sound, your entire body will be full of light.

‭Matthew 6:22 AMPC‬

‭Proverbs 23:7 NKJV‬ says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” If we think positively, we live positively and if we think negatively we live negatively. ‭Proverbs 4:23 NIV‬ says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” We guard our hearts by what we set our eyes on.

For instance the Lord said in “‭Matthew 5:28 NIV‬, “ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

So, instead of setting our eyes on negative and sowing negative thoughts in our hearts, we can set our eyes on positive things and sow positive thoughts in our hearts.

That is why ‭Colossians 3:1 NIV‬ says, “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” This is done through the word of God. The word of God makes us think the right thoughts and speak the right words into our lives. So we set our eyes on the word of God, think the right thoughts and speak the right things into our lives. For “ out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO SET OUR EYES ON THE WORD OF TRUTH IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
