WAIT IN CONFIDENT HOPE II

I am waiting for my Lord, like a guard waiting and waiting for the morning to come.

Psalms 130:6 ERV

The Lord said in the parable of the growing seed, “The seed begins to grow. It grows night and day. It doesn’t matter whether the man is sleeping or awake, the seed still grows. He doesn’t know how it happens. Without any help the ground produces grain. First the plant grows, then the head, and then all the grain in the head.” (Mark 4:27-28 ERV)

The sower has this confident hope that the seed will grow irrespective of whether he sleeps or awake, even though he doesn't understand how it works. God is faithful, we might not understand how , but He is faithful to answer us at all times, not because we are faithful but because He is faithful. Notice that there is a sequence, “First the plant grows, then the head, and then all the grain in the head.” So we must be patient while waiting for the Lord.

Just as the sower in the parable, we should have a confident hope while waiting on the Lord to come through for us. For He comes through for us not because we are faithful but because He is faithful. St Paul said, “ I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me “ ( Galatians 2:30) So the just shall live by His faith and not our faith. Let us wait on the Lord like a guard waiting and waiting for the morning to come for He is faithful even when we are faithless.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO WAIT FOR LORD IN JOYFUL EXPECTANCY TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
