For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Romans 8:29 ESV
Ephesians 6:10 ESV says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Have you pondered why the Israelites in the desert, despite their murmuring, could not go back to Egypt? They could not go back to Egypt, for God sealed them with the Red sea. How could they possibly cross the Red sea, by whose power? Who would have divided it for them? They were completely under God's care. Exodus 13:17 ESV says, “ When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near. For God said, “Lest the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt.” ‘
In the same way, our old selves subject to sin and decay are dead, we cannot go back to it again. And we are no longer subject to decays of this World for we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Our Salvation is not leaky, hence we are kept from defeat. Psalm 56:13 GNT says, “because you have rescued me from death and kept me from defeat. And so I walk in the presence of God, in the light that shines on the living.”
Christ is our only hope, so we conform to the image of Christ and not to the world. Just as the Israelites in the desert could have faced death if they had crossed the Red Sea to Egypt. In the same way, conforming to the world is death, but to Christ's image is life and peace.
( Romans 8:6)
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO SET OUR MINDS ON CHRIST AND NOT ON THE WORLD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
