WAIT JOYFULLY ON THE LORD I

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Beloved, welcome to this year's season of advent. Let us use this season to learn how to wait on the Lord. We do not just wait on the Lord to answer us, rather we wait to conform to who God has made us to be, the image of His Son. Just as a pharmacist dispenses medication in conformity with the prescription. In the same way, God wrote the image of His Son for us to conform to.

He has authored a pleasant life, a bright future for us by making us in the image of His Son, because He lives, we shall live. Jeremiah 29:11 ESV, says, “ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Just as the pharmacist in our scenario verifies medication with the hardcopy for accuracy, before dispensing it. In the same way, when we wait on the Lord, we are aligning our thoughts with His words to conform to the very image of Christ, for as He is, so are we in this world.

That is how we receive our healings and breakthroughs, and are transformed. 2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV says, “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
