WE ARE GOD’S CUSTOM FIT

And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.

We are created for only God to live in us, custom fit for God, any other will be a mismatch and will not function properly. Our old life was broken, corrupted because though created in God's image was stolen by the enemy, hence man's life was adulterated and broken. It was dominated by sin, producing death in all aspects of our lives, hence the need for a new birth.

That is why on the cross, the old sinful suit was exchanged with a new suit, God's righteousness . (2 Corinthians 5:21) We are new, custom fit for God alone to live in. Our theme verse wants us to live in the consciousness of that, “And put on the new nature…” Things like anger, bitterness, rage , hatred is a total mismatch, and not God’s true image.

Ephesians 2:10 NLT says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

The new life is tailored fit for God alone, and if lived in union with Christ alone, will do the good things God planned for us long ago, and will not be subject to sickness, hardships, failures and all the brokenness of this broken world.
