WE ARE NOT LEFT AS ORPHANS

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

Romans 8:15 ESV

We become children of God not because our life is free from trouble, but because we have received His Spirit within us. Therefore, we should focus on His presence rather than on the troubles of this world, remembering Jesus’ promise in John 14:18 ESV, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

Yes, we are not left as orphans, the Spirit of God lives in us now. 1 John 4:4 ESV says, “ Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” Today, we are not worried about sickness, hardships or any distress in the world, for the power inside us is greater than every force of sickness, hardships and any distress in the world.

Our duty is to set our minds on Him always. David said in Psalm 16:8-10 ESV, “I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.”

Beloved, we did not choose ourselves out of the corruption of this world, God did. Hence, He who chose us out of corruption, will not allow our health and wellbeing, finances, marriages, etc to see the corruption of this world. Be brave!
