WE ARE OF A SOLID FOUNDATION

He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.

Think of how a roller coaster has its ups and downs, excitement, thrills etc but when you step out of it you do not experience its dramatic ups and down. We are in a roller coaster world, but our new life is not a roller coaster kind of life, for we are not of the world, we are in Christ. We are from a city with foundations, designed by God Himself. Hence we don't define it by the roller coaster kind of life we see in the world.

We are not righteous today and sinner tomorrow because we sinned, rather we are righteous because of what Jesus did. Our wealth is not because of our possessions, our health is not by our symptom free life; rather they are all because of the finished work of the cross. That is why we set our minds on Christ, our new life, and not on the roller coaster world. The world does not function properly but we function properly, for we are in Christ.

Proverbs 4:18 NLT says, “The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.” That is why the Lord said, But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”(Matthew 6:33 NIV) Get accustomed to the kingdom we live in and not the roller coaster world and it's customs, and all things will be set right for us
