WE ARE RARE GEMS

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

John 17:16 NKJV

We should learn not to live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God, for though we live in this world, we are not of this world, we don't live by it. Think about the children of Israel in the wilderness, though they were in the wilderness, they were not of it, they never lived by it, but on God's own supply.

We are dead to the world, we are not subject to the socioeconomic situations as it is in the world today, unless we live by it. But we are alive to God's own systems, His righteousness, goodness and unfailing love. Acts 17:28 NKJV says,

“for in Him we live and move and have our being,” We are a rare gem, we are not salted from this world or seen in the aftermarket. So, we should learn to live by every word God says and not by bread alone for we are living a translated life now on earth. A life not ruled by the world systems but God's.

That is why the Bible says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come,...For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, …but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give you light; but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.”(Isaiah 60:1-2, 19 ESV says)

That is, we should arise from the worries and anxieties caused by our earthly circumstances and walk in the newness of life, for troubles might be in the world but Christ in us is our hope of glory. For though we are in this troubled world we don't live by it, rather we live by God's systems.
