WE ARE SET APART

Look! Those who do evil have fallen! They are thrown down, never to rise again.

Psalms 36:12 NLT

The enemy has really fallen and will never rise again. So let us not raise him up in our minds and hearts. The Lord said, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. (Luke 10:18-19 NLT)

Those troubles in our lives that seem to get worse, are not really getting worse for the enemy has fallen, and we have risen. “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning!” Blessed Mary said, “ He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble.” (Luke 1:52 NLT)

Just as Jesus said to the Jewish authorities, “… You cannot come where I am going.”(John 8:21 NLT). In the same way, Where we are, in Christ, a place of authority and holiness, the enemy can never be.

Obadiah 1:17 ESV says, “But in Mount Zion there shall be those who escape, and it shall be holy, and the house of Jacob shall possess their own possessions.” Just as in the story of Job , God placed a hedge around him , his home and protection. In the same way we are set apart from the enemy. Our duty is to live in this consciousness for though we might see troubles in this world, Christ has overcome for us.
