OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

WE HAVE A FAITHFUL WITNESS

Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”

Acts 14:17 NIV

In the movie Rush hour, the daughter of a Chinese diplomat was kidnapped in America. He requested that one of his, a detective from Hong Kong be involved in the investigation because he is not from America as well as his daughter. We are not from this fallen world, so our heavenly Father did not leave us as orphans. The Holy Spirit is our faithful witness. Romans 8:16 NIV says, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”

In John 8:17-18 NIV, The Lord said to the Jewish authorities, “ In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.” The same way, the Spirit of Jesus in us who sent us, testifies true things about us and not the fallen world.

We are those who received life from His Word, the world did not receive Him and cannot testify to this. The Bible says, “He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:11-12 ESV) The Spirit of Jesus who lives in us bears witness with our spirit through His works that we are what the Word says we are.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE CONSCIOUS OF OUR TRUE WITNESS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
